Instructors: GSB teachers Bob Ort (Upper School fine art) and Pete Roslund (Lower & Middle School P.E.)
Spend the summer outside! Students will spend half of the session on the beautiful Gill St. Bernard’s School campus exploring stream ecology, taking short hikes, and learning the basics of photography. Woodworking will also be a part of the adventure; a project will involve carving your own personal walking stick! Outdoor ethics, travel, safety and survival skills will be addressed. This five-day course includes a trip to Ort pond for fishing, boating, and a BBQ. The course culminates in a three-day, two-night (tent only) camping trip in the New Jersey Pinelands, complete with a kayak day trip! Campus lunches, camping meals, camping fees, boat rentals, and transportation are all included.
Minimum enrollment 14 and maximum is 24.
