Will Taylor Joins GSB Admission Team
Director of Athletics Will Taylor is assuming additional leadership responsibilities by becoming the Senior Associate of Admission & Financial Aid. Will has experience in independent school admission and has worked extensively to attract students from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and athletic interests. He will be assisting the Admission Team at the Middle and Upper School levels, as well as the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. According to Sarah Rowland, “I am so excited to be working closely with Will. He brings many gifts to our Admission Team and to our work with students.” Taylor has 32 years of experience as a teacher, coach, and administrator. Prior to coming to GSB in 2018 as the Director of Athletics, he was the Newark Academy Director of Admission & Enrollment Management, a position he held since 2006. Taylor also was a Division III, two-time, All-American in wrestling while attending Upsala College. He has experience coaching wrestling, football, baseball, and softball. Bringing a high level of passion and commitment to school athletics, he works to build the teams at GSB while enhancing the athletes’ overall experience.Taylor says, “I’m excited about returning to admissions, even in a limited role. I’m very much looking forward to being a part of Sarah’s team and supporting their efforts to continue bringing high-quality students to GSB.”
