Upper School Spring Choir Concert Fills the Matthews Theater with Song

Family, friends, and musicians gathered in the Gill St. Bernard’s Performing Arts & Community Center Matthews Theater last night, Wednesday, April 20, to enjoy beautiful choral arrangements performed live at the GSB Upper School Spring Choir Concert.

Pieces were staged by a mix of choral groups including the Upper School Concert Choir, the Honors Choir, the Gillharmonics, and Blue in the Face. Compositions ranged from the classical “Non Nobis Domine,” a traditional Latin text, to modern favorites like “Found” from Dear Evan Hanson. The chorus’s repertoire included both powerful ensemble moments, where the music encompassed the entire space, and extraordinary solos which spotlighted the unique talents of our students.

Music Director David Southerland conducted the performance, accompanied by Collaborative Pianist Amy Southerland.

Please congratulate our students on an outstanding performance and enjoy our photo gallery below!
