On November 20 and 21, Gill St. Bernard's after-school theater program hosted two exciting performances of The Lion King KIDS!
Based on the 1994 Disney animated feature film of the same name, and William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, The Lion King is a story and a musical spectacle about identity, family, and responsibility that is enjoyed worldwide by people of all ages.
The buzz from the bees is the show was a hit! Director Amy Southerland shares proudly, “The Lion King Kids! was a wonderful experience for the 46 1st-5th graders who participated. We developed the skills of each cast member as we rehearsed and learned how to tell a story on stage!” Southerland was assisted by student helpers Austin Carey '23, Caroline D'Arcangelis '24, Nataley Kothari '23, Suri Marrero '27, Alia Messina '23, and Mary Young '25.
