The Parents’ Association wrapped up its annual Pie Sale fundraiser on Friday by organizing a safe and easy drive-through pickup at Hemm House.
The pie sale committee initially anticipated a lower response due to the lack of typical in-person promotional opportunities, such as Homecoming / Family Day. However, the GSB community rallied for the delicious dessert fundraiser as families purchased additional pies for friends, neighbors, essential workers, and local charities.
"In true GSB fashion, the parent and faculty support exceeded our goals," said Sheri Cohen, PA President. In fact, sales exceeded 550, more than double the quantity from last year. Of that total, 125 pies were distributed among the following local charities: Extra Helpings Delivered of Dover, Market Street Mission of Morristown, the Warren Township Rescue Squad, and the Gladstone Peapack Pantry.
Co-chairs Gina Ference P '23, and Dawn Richardson P '17, P '24, P '24 were grateful for the community's overwhelming response. "We made a difference by spreading kindness to those in need, while supporting GSB and having some fun along the way," said Gina.
