Peapack and Gladstone Mayor Presents Proclamation to GSB Boys' Soccer Team

On April 5, 2023, Mark A. Corigliano, Mayor of Peapack and Gladstone, visited Gill St. Bernard’s School to present the GSB varsity Boys’ Soccer Team with a prize honoring their 2022-23 season accomplishments.

Mr. Corigliano joined Head of School Sid Rowell and the full upper school student body for a special assembly presentation. During the event, Mr. Corigliano invited all 24 soccer program players on stage as he shared the following proclamation:

Whereas, the Gill St. Bernard’s School Boys’ Soccer Team, the Knights, completed the 2022 season with a winning record of 16-6-1; and

Whereas, they won the NJSIAA Non-Public B State Championship this year for the seventh time since 2010, after the team won the same title in 2021, its fourth straight such win; and

Whereas, these accomplishments clearly demonstrate their dedication, hard work and team spirit; and

Whereas, the commitment and success of the team members were guided by a dedicated coaching staff and were fortified by the enthusiasm of their family and friends; and

Whereas, the members of the 2022 Gill St. Bernard’s School Boys’ Varsity Soccer Team winners were; Dan Castro, Alex Chyzowych, Nicholas Collins, Michael Dumiec, Jack Ference, Branden Ferreira, Jonathan Ferreira, Joseph Howard, Jacob “Bennett” Lavoie, Michael Marino, Robert Niesmertelny, Dylan Palmieri, James “Jack” Ryan, Dan Scali, Matthew Segal, Nathaniel Shen, Ryan Smith, Daniel Spataro, Chayse Stolarski, Charles Taliano, Michael Taliano, George Taylor, Dan Vasquez, and Max Voigt; and

Whereas, the Coach Tony Bendarsky, the Assistant Coaches Tim DiBisceglie and Cesar Rincon, and Assistant Scott Burd proved to be invaluable to the team’s efforts; and

Whereas, it is fitting and proper that all involved in this prestigious effort be recognized in a public forum.

Now therefore, be it proclaimed on behalf of the Council of Peapack and Gladstone and the residents of the community that I, Mark A. Corigliano, Mayor of the Borough of Peapack and Gladstone, do hereby commend the Gill St. Bernard’s Boys’ Soccer Team for their accomplishments and wish them well in the future.
