PA Community Through Conversation – Cooking Session

Yesterday, the Parents' Association held its first Community Through Conversation (CTC) of the school year. The meeting took place on Zoom and brought together fellow parents to learn and share some easy cooking recipes and tips.

Past CTC events have included speakers invited by the PA to present on various subjects and to create conversation around relevant topics for parenting. This time, PA President Sheri Cohen P '22, '23 shared, "Because we cannot be in person right now, and we are all spending some bonus time at home with our families, we thought sharing recipes, inviting each other into our homes virtually, and learning some new tips would be a great opportunity to connect."

Three parents demonstrated live from their kitchens, including Christy Johnson P '23 with a pasta casserole, Brenda Liberti P '24, '26 with a Ritz cracker cod, and Caroline Campion P '22 with a versatile dressing for salads and grains. Caroline, who is also the cookbook author of Keepers, published by Rodale, stated, "This was a fun way for Gill parents to get together and share our enthusiasm for cooking and eating! I look forward to more events like this where we get to learn from each other's talents."

Co-Chair Beth Gustafson P '20, '22 wrapped up the meeting thanking everyone who joined and shared recipes, which will be posted on the "Speakers" web page next week.
