On a snowy day of virtual learning, first graders enjoyed a Zoom musical experiment to learn about pitch as it relates to frequency and wavelength. First, students explored data on Pitch-Visualizer, an online tool that detects the pitch or note of any sound. Then, Elizabeth Carney, Lower School music teacher, led an experiment by striking a spoon against filled water glasses to create music. "Students hypothesized the results and conducted an experiment at home to measure the outcome," said Mrs. Carney. "We had so much fun!"
