Jenn Noon Named Gill St. Bernard’s Athletic Director

Jenn Noon has been named the Athletic Director at Gill St. Bernard’s School. Noon most recently served as the Director of Athletics at Fairleigh Dickinson University and holds over two decades of administrative, coaching, and education experience. She will take the helm of the GSB Athletics Program for the 2022-23 academic year.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Jenn to Gill St. Bernard’s,” said Head of School Sid Rowell. “This is exciting news for the school, and I believe Jenn’s character and leadership qualities will raise our athletic program to the next level. In particular, she will be a strong advocate for our girls’ teams and will continue to build a culture of excellence on and off our courts and fields.”

Noon begins her role at GSB on August 1 after completing a 17-year stint at Fairleigh Dickinson. During her tenure, Noon elevated FDU’s 23 interscholastic athletic programs as the Director of Athletics (2018 – Present), Associate Athletic Director (2009 – 2018), and Head Women’s Field Hockey Coach (2009 – 2018) among several other administrative and academic positions. As Athletic Director, Noon was instrumental in developing an athletic strategic plan that built strong relationships with the university’s student athletes, alumni, campus community, and physical neighborhoods. Noon also instituted several new programs for student-athlete development, including the Fuel to the Fire Leadership Academy, a two-day symposium for athletes to hone leadership skills and focus on accountability within their teams.

“Gill St. Bernard’s has so many parallels to collegiate athletics, and I am looking forward to bringing my expertise and insights to such a prestigious school,” commented Noon. “I am forever grateful for my time at FDU and within the Devils Athletic Department; however, as one chapter closes, another begins. I am looking forward to leading the Athletic Department to new heights within NJSIAA, Skyland Conference, and Somerset County through our student-athletes and staff. I am committed to building on the successes and on leading the department in concert with the educational and strategic goals of GSB.”

Noon will succeed departing Athletic Director, Willard Taylor, who has guided Gill’s athletic program since 2018. Noon holds several accolades as an administrator, coach, and college athlete, including four Freedom Conference Coach of the Year Awards (2011, 2014, 2015, 2016) and the Educational Opportunity Fund Champion Award (2022). Noon also earned a First Team All-Big East Selection in Field Hockey during her career at Rutgers University (2000-2004).

“I always have strived to leave a lasting impression on others,” said Noon. “I am looking forward to making my mark at Gill St Bernards through my leadership, work ethic, and commitment to excellence.”
