On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, the Gill St. Bernard’s Board of Trustees and Parents’ Association hosted a Head of School Welcome Reception in the F.M. Kirby Hall and Gallery of the Performing Arts and Community Center. The event, which drew a strong turnout, was filled with excitement and conversation, serving as both a warm community gathering and a celebratory kickoff to the 2025–2026 academic year.

During the evening, Head of School Dr. Delvin Dinkins shared his vision for the year ahead and for the continued growth of GSB. He reflected on his early days on campus, noting how gratifying it had been to visit classrooms, attend games, and witness students deeply engaged in learning, supported by mentors and adults cheering them on at every turn. He challenged the community to embrace healthy risks and stretch beyond comfort zones, both as individuals and together, in order to grow stronger as a school.

“With you, we get stronger as a school,” Dr. Dinkins said, underscoring the collaborative spirit that defines the GSB experience.

The reception set a positive and inspiring tone for the year ahead, reminding all in attendance that GSB thrives when its community comes together.
