After last year’s abbreviated season, the GSB Boy’s and Girls’ Fencing teams return to the piste, ready to build on their momentum.
Following up on a strong performance in 2020, co-captains Jennifer Salemy ’22 and Grace Crimi ’23 will bring a wealth of experience to lead this year’s Girls’ Fencing program. Salemy will compete in women’s épée while Crimi competes in women’s sabre. The girls’ roster is comprised of eight members additional ready to hone their technical abilities, including juniors Anvika Hegde, Sophia Mariano, Emma Moussally, and Lauren Rossiter, sophomore Whitney Lapper, and first years’ Akshara Datla and Catherine Klein.
On the boys’ side, six fencers will compete for the Knights, including co-captain Jeremiah Ng ’24. Ng will look to build off his freshman year success competing in the men’s sabre. The team is rounded out by senior Kareem Lawal, junior Adam Goldschmidt, sophomore Armin Ziaee, and freshmen Austin Fluhr and Justin Lee.
Stephen Olson enters his 3rd season as head coach of GSB’s Fencing program. He is joined by Assistant Coaches Chinua Jones (3rd year) and Cole Degeorges (2nd year).
