During August – typically a quieter time on campus – the rumble of truck engines filled the summer air as GSB worked to complete a major renovation on all its roadways and parking lots. This all-encompassing project is just one way that our school is paving the way for a smooth fall.
“All our campus driveways and parking areas are being re-paved,” said Mike Bailey, Director of Campus Safety and Emergency Management. “We’ve already completed the main entrance lot and the Cox/Performing Arts Community Center entrance and parking lots. It was two days of milling, a couple days of prepping due to not having a solid base in some areas, and three days to pave.”
Currently, workers are finishing the Upper and Middle School lots, just in time for the first week of school. We wish our GSB community a safe and healthy school year, with no bumps in the road!
