GSB Honors Class of 2027 in Middle School Closing Exercises

GSB Honors Class of 2027 in Middle School Closing Exercises

Lower and Middle School Director Kyle Armstrong welcomed 8th grade family and friends to the Gill St. Bernard's Closing Exercises ceremony on Tuesday, June 7, to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of the Class of 2027.

In his remarks, Mr. Armstrong had a special message for the middle school graduates and shared wise advice. “To our eighth graders, my thoughts for you today are simple: keep your feet underneath you and always strive for goodness. I’m not going to stand here and list the challenges and worries present in today’s world. Today is a day to celebrate, not ruminate. But in today’s complex world, just know that gravitating toward goodness will help you navigate society’s challenges and lead you toward a place of fulfillment and happiness.”

The Middle School Choir filled the room with song and delivered a lovely rendition of For Good, and Middle School Music Teacher Amy Southerland provided musical accompaniment throughout the event.

GSB faculty presented this year’s Middle School Awards and Prizes, and the momentous occasion concluded with Head of School Sid Rowell awarding the Certifications of Completion.

We wish all our middle school graduates much success as they move on to the Upper School next year.

Congratulations!
