GSB Families Go Back to the ’80s at Sold-Out Family Bingo Night

GSB Families Go Back to the ’80s at Sold-Out Family Bingo Night

The Parents’ Association transformed the Athletic Center into an ’80s themed bingo hall, welcoming more than 300 guests of all ages to a sold-out Family Bingo Night—proof that this community knows how to have a totally tubular time. Each of the 10 bingo games featured several winners, along with ongoing bonus prizes and trivia.

Mr. Bingo, who bears a striking resemblance to GSB’s Tony DeVergillo P ’22, kicked off the night with a grand entrance to Footloose. Parents’ Association VP of Community Events Mindy Miller-Chidgey P ’29 coordinated special guests callers throughout the evening, including Gill St. Bernard’s athletics teams, student groups, and GSB Head of School Dr. Delvin Dinkins.

“Events like this remind us that when we come together as a community, we strengthen the bonds that make our school special,” said Miller-Chidgey.

Guests enjoyed a special performance by the Upper School music group Blue in the Face, and a surprise dance routine to Thriller by the parent planning committee.

The night concluded with the grand prize winner taking home a certificate for a party of 15 at YESTERcades in Somerville, the perfect finale to a night that was nothing short of rad.
