GSB Families Come Together for Gill At The Mill Event

This past Friday, over 250 guests joined GSB for a night under the stars at Burnt Mills Cider Company in Bedminster, NJ in support of the school’s GSB Fund.

Throughout the night, GSB parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and other community members enjoyed a catered raw bar served by Metropolitan Seafood, delicious food and dessert trucks, live music, and an impressive collection of ciders on tap. After guests socialized around picnic benches and firepits, Head of School, Sid Rowell, gathered the large group to thank them for attending, highlighted the success of the event and the impact it has on GSB, and shared his appreciation for the tireless effort from our volunteer team and Parent Co-Chairs— Caroline Campion P ‘22, Michelle Lawse P ‘32, Emily Maillet P ‘29, and Tanya Moeller P ‘32.

“As co-chairs and good friends, it was a rewarding and fun experience planning Gill At The Mill,” commented Caroline, Michelle, Emily, and Tanya.

“Our committee was full of amazing and dedicated moms and dads that helped us turn our vision into a magical and successful evening complete with fires roaring, cider flowing, smiles and laughs. A true night to remember!”

Evening highlights included GSB’s silent and live auctions, where guests bid on a series of incredible packages and unique GSB experiences such as front row seats for Spring Shows and Graduation Ceremonies, with all proceeds benefiting the GSB Fund. Part of the live auction included a paddle raise to spotlight the academic work taking place at Home Winds Farm. Farm Manager, Ned Lincoln, shared his growth plan to bring environmental lessons into the classroom for students of all ages, and families generously donated to fund some of these enhancements.

GSB would like to graciously acknowledge the kind support from GSB-family-owned companies Burnt Mills Cider Company and Branch Home, the Parent Co-Chairs and committee, our volunteer auctioneer Glenn Lawse P ‘32, and the full GSB community for making Gill At The Mill such an incredible success. If you purchased any auction packages, you can pick up certificates/items in the Conger building on campus this week.
