Girls’ Swimming Excels at Skyland Conference Championships

The GSB Girls’ Swim team broke five school records at this weekend’s Skyland Conference Championship at Montgomery High School.

The Knights (3-0) continued their season-long success thanks to an incredible mix of individual and team performances. At the end of the meet, swimmers Maddie Soultanian ’22, Tahlia Kofman ’24, Margaux Scott ’24, Ella Ecko ’25 set new historical school marks in:

  • 200 Medley Relay: 1:54.23 (Ecko, Scott, Kofman, Soultanian)
  • 200 Freestyle: 2:00.78 (Kofman)
  • 100 Butterfly: 1:01;96 (Kofman)
  • 200 Freestyle Relay: 1:45.28 (Soultanian, Scott, Ecko, Kofman)
  • 100 Breaststroke: 1:07.96 (Scott)

Despite only carrying four swimmers, the Knights placed 12th out of 24 teams in the conference.

Thanks to their conference success, the Knights qualified for the Meet of Champions on March 5 & 6 in Sewell, New Jersey, where Margaux Scott will compete in the 100 Breaststroke and Ella, Margaux, Tahlia, and Maddie will compete in the 200 Medley Relay. Please join us to congratulate our swimmers!
