Gill St. Bernard’s Middle School Inducts 19 Students into National Junior Honor Society

Gill St. Bernard’s Middle School proudly held its fourth annual National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) induction ceremony on Monday, April 13, 2026, in the Matthews Family Theater of the Performing Arts and Community Center. In a celebration of academic excellence and leadership, 19 students were honored in front of an audience of proud parents, faculty, and peers.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome from Lower and Middle School Director Kyle Armstrong P ’21, ’29, ’36, followed by the official pinning of inductees by Dean of Academics Charlotte Hogan. Head of School Delvin Dinkins and the entire Middle School community joined in recognizing the students’ outstanding accomplishments and character.

Founded on the pillars of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship, NJHS provides students with an opportunity to grow as well-rounded leaders within their school and community. At GSB, Seventh and Eighth Graders who qualify based on the Five Pillars are invited to apply for membership.

Membership in NJHS goes beyond academic achievement. GSB's chapter emphasizes service and peer leadership. This year’s members created a new peer tutoring initiative, offering academic support during Conference Periods in the Fifth and Sixth Grade hallway. The program has quickly become a meaningful way for older students to mentor younger peers and to demonstrate the society’s core values in action.

GSB congratulates all the newly inducted members and celebrates their commitment to academic excellence, integrity, and service. Their efforts embody the spirit of the National Junior Honor Society and continue to strengthen the vibrant learning community at Gill St. Bernard’s.
