Gill St. Bernard’s Boys’ Soccer Team Honored with Mayoral Proclamation for Ninth State Title 

On Tuesday, December 17, 2024, Mayor Mark Corigliano of the Borough of Peapack and Gladstone honored the Gill St. Bernard's Boys' Varsity Soccer team with a special Proclamation celebrating their remarkable achievement of winning a ninth state title.

The ceremony, held in recognition of the team's dedication and success, was attended by Head of School Sid Rowell, Director of Athletics Jenn Noon, Head Varsity Coach Tony Bednarsky P ’08, ’10, ’14, ’17, and Assistant Coach Tim DiBisceglie ’13. This milestone underscored the team's enduring excellence and their significant contribution to the Gill St. Bernard's community and beyond. 

Congratulations to the boys' soccer team and the entire GSB community who supported them in this incredible achievement.

A Proclamation Honoring The Gill St. Bernard's School Boys Soccer Team's Ninth State Title 

WHEREAS, the Gill St. Bernard's School Boys Soccer Team, the Knights, completed the 2024 season winning a State title with an extraordinary record of 16-6-1; and 

WHEREAS, they won the NISIAA State Championship this year for the ninth time since 2010, and after the team won the same title just two years ago in 2022; and 

WHEREAS, these accomplishments clearly demonstrate their dedication, hard work and team spirit; and 

WHEREAS, the commitment and success of the team members were guided by a dedicated coaching staff and were fortified by the enthusiasm of their families and friends; and 

WHEREAS, the members of the 2024 Gill St. Bernard's School Boys Varsity Soccer Team included these seniors: Daniel Scali, Dylan Palmieri, Daniel Vasquez, Alex Chyzowych, Max Voigt, Nathaniel Shen and Michael Taliano; and 

WHEREAS, Head Coach Tony Bednarsky and Associates Head Coach Tim DiBisceglie proved to be an inspiration and invaluable to the team's efforts; and 

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that all involved in this prestigious effort be recognized in a public forum. 

NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed that on behalf of the Council of Peapack and Gladstone and the residents of this community that I, Mark A. Corigliano, Mayor of the Borough of Peapack and Gladstone, do hereby commend the Gill St. Bernard's Boys Soccer Team for their accomplishments and wish them well in their future endeavors.
