This spring season, more than ever, our boys' tennis team is thrilled to take to the courts, after an abrupt close to last year's play due to the pandemic.
"The boys have been working really hard this pre-season – their excitement and enthusiasm is great," said Assistant Coach Chris Walsh. "The most important thing is that they are outside practicing, after the challenging Coronavirus situation ended our season last year after just five practices. We continue to follow the COVID-19 protocols and make that a priority every day."
Head Coach Ray Knight and Coach Walsh remain impressed with their varsity squad. Ryan Shin '21, a 2nd singles player on varsity since freshman year, serves as captain. Michael Isserow '21, 1st singles, worked hard to earn his position on the team. In the 3rd singles slot, Travis Xue '23 continues improving and taking his game to the next level. Doubles tandems include David Isserow '22 and Matthew Segal '24 at first doubles, and Lex Webber '24 with Akshay Patel '23 at 2nd doubles.
Other junior varsity players ready to compete at the varsity level, if needed, include Aidan Richardson '23, Nicholas Parlavecchio '23, Jonathan Hashemi '24, Bennett Lavoie '24, Andrew Pereira '24, and Liam Seeley '24.
"We are looking forward to a successful season," said Coach Walsh. "Our matches are just beginning, and we're ready to play. Let's Go, Knights!"
