An Enchanted Evening: The Magic of GSB at the 2025 Auction Gala

The spirit and magic of Gill St. Bernard’s shone brightly on Thursday, November 13, as families, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends gathered at Hamilton Farm Golf Club for the Annual Auction Gala. The evening offered a vibrant celebration of the people, places, and traditions that make GSB so special. In a show of community spirit, the event raised nearly $250,000, including nearly $80,000 in support of the School's faculty and their professional development.

Upon entering, guests were greeted by a stunning display capturing “the magic of GSB”—photos of students learning across campus, tending the garden, caring for animals on the farm, performing on stage, competing in athletics, and participating in cherished school traditions. Reflections from parents and faculty added a heartfelt touch, setting the tone for a truly memorable night.

The program began with remarks from Jacque Johnson of the Parents’ Association Executive Team, who expressed gratitude to the dedicated committee, generous auction donors, event sponsors, and the entire GSB community for supporting this important annual fundraiser.

A highlight of the evening—and a surprise to many—came when Head of School Dr. Delvin Dinkins rode onto the stage atop a brand-new Segway scooter, the first live auction item of the night and a playful nod to his preferred mode of campus transportation.

Guests enjoyed a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere throughout the evening, reconnecting with friends old and new. The celebration concluded with lively dancing and an array of delicious passed desserts, leaving the community with warm memories and deep appreciation for GSB’s continued spirit of generosity.
