Alumni Gather for Annual Soccer Game

Alumni Gather for Annual Soccer Game

On Friday, November 26, alumni gathered at the GSB Turf Field for the annual Lee Kasman GSB Alumni Soccer Game. 36 alumni participated in this after Thanksgiving tradition. The youngest players were from the Class of 2021 with several fresh off their successful fall college seasons.

"I was excited to see so many former players and students back on the GSB field. It was especially fun to have such a strong turnout of alumnae from the girls’ soccer program - hoping to have even more in the future!" says Coach Kristen Armstrong.

Head Coach Tony Bednarksy also shared, "This game was especially important to me. As a coach, it was truly inspiring to see our recent grads who have vaulted the program to unprecedented heights, mixing in with the older alums who won our first non-public title, laid the foundation, and started the winning traditions. As a father, it was the first time in many years that I saw all four of my kids play on the same team in the same game. On a personal note, it was fitting that Charlie Kasman '16 scored a goal in the game honoring his father, Lee." Kasman passed away in 2015.
