The much-beloved Gill St. Bernard’s School Early Childhood Holiday Concert, A Time for Love, enchanted audiences on December 19, 2024, in Evans Hall. Our youngest students, brimming with excitement and holiday spirit, took the stage to deliver a heartwarming performance that celebrated the season of love and togetherness.
The concert opened with joyful renditions of holiday favorites like "Sleigh Bells Jingling" and "Up on the Housetop", conducted by Assistant Head of the Lower School Jill Fedon P ’27 and accompanied by Early Childhood Music Teacher Wendy Relation. Their cheerful voices and infectious enthusiasm brought smiles to every face in the audience.
After a brief intermission, during which live piano music by Dr. Jennifer Branch’s accomplished Lower and Middle School students set a serene and festive mood, the stage was transformed for the highlight of the show: a much-anticipated adaptation of The Nutcracker.
In this magical retelling, Kindergarteners took center stage, leading the audience on a journey through Clara’s dreamlike adventure to the Land of Sweets. The young performers brought the timeless holiday classic to life with charm and creativity, and their spirited performances and colorful costumes turned the stage into a dazzling winter wonderland, captivating the hearts of all in attendance.
