15th Annual GSB Classic

A promise of friendly competition and support of a great cause drew 80 golfers for the 15th annual GSB Classic at Hamilton Farm Golf Club on Monday, May 17. It was a full day of golf, with a variety of playing options, from the full 27-holes on the par-three Hickory Course and traditional Highlands course to 18- or 9-holes on the Highlands. In addition, 11 golfers came midday to take part in the GSB Classic golf clinic with three of the golf pros from Hamilton Farm, followed by a round of nine holes. After a picture-perfect day on the course, veteran players and enthusiastic newcomers gathered under the tent for cocktails and dinner.

Proceeds from the GSB Classic, which have totaled over $1,000,000 since 2005, support the endowment for need-based financial aid at Gill St. Bernard's School. We are grateful to our event sponsors (please see list below) for their generous support.

Although no one made a hole-in-one, sponsored by Flemington Car & Truck Country, there were plenty of other accolades to go around. Thomas Aiello took the honors for closet to the pin. Longest drive was claimed by Bob DeCarlo, P '26, '27 (men) and Rachel Kalafer, P '29 (ladies). Clinic Best Sport went to Sheri Cohen P '22, '23. First place (low gross) went to Kevin Carey P '23, John Davis, Joe Donegan and Ernie Olse, and first place (low net) to Kevin Giordano P '14, '19, Mark Giordano '19, Head of School Sid Rowell P '08, '14, and Doug Matthews P '16, '18, '24.
