More than 200 guests came to campus for Gill St. Bernard’s first-ever casino night. The event was created by the committee behind last year’s highly-successful Moonlit Night Auction Gala. Thanks to the incredible efforts of that veteran team, the school was able to hold the event just six months after last spring’s gala.
Guests tried their luck at the gaming tables, took chances to bring home fabulous wine and spirits at the Wine Pull table and enjoyed fabulous food and drink catered by the Food Company. There was even a chance to engage with a professional magician. The event, by all accounts, was a tremendous success. The early remote bidding allowed those who could not make it to campus to take part in the event. Those bidders, combined with the guests, purchased more than 100 silent auction items and the ever-popular wine pull sold out this year as well. The live auction, with GSB’s own Tony DeVergillo P ‘22 serving as auctioneer, inspired spirited and generous bidding. All of the funds raised from the event benefit programs at the school.
A very special thanks to the Casino Night & Auction committee, headed by Julie Bliss Chan P '20, '22. Thanks also to all of our generous supporters who donated items to the auction, took part in the bidding and came out on a cold November night to support our school.
