Tumble and Roll II

Program Info

Instructor: Alexa DeRose, Gymnastics Coach

Former YMCA national gymnastics team member and five-year gymnastics coach will be bringing her energy of movement to GSB! With a BS in Kinesiology from Indiana University at Bloomington, Alexa DeRose has developed a program which will help campers excel in novice gymnastics skills, such as cartwheels, bridges, backbends, rolls, and basic flexibility. Skill progression will be addressed from day to day based on camper success and coordination. This class will include obstacle-course activities to challenge locomotor movements, introduce rhythm with music, and more!

*no prior gymnastics training is required

  • Grades 1 - 4

  • July 15 – July 19; 1:00 PM – 3:45 PM; Fee: $225

  • What to Bring / What to Wear

    • • All items should be labeled with camper’s first and last name. Campers should dress appropriately for activities (e.g., comfortable closed-toe shoes or sneakers, shorts, and t-shirts).
    • Water bottle
    • If you will be combining Tumble and Roll II session with another half-day Hi Hills program, your child will be provided lunch each day.
  • Drop Off & Pick Up

    PM Drop Off: 1:00 PM
    Pick Up: 3:45 PM

    Afternoon Drop Off
    Beginning at 12:55 P.M., campers should enter the West Gate and follow the signs for “Drop-Off” at the Lower School entrance. Please form one line. Wait for the car in front of you to finish dropping off campers before pulling forward. Team Members will be there to greet campers and help them out of the cars. If your camper is attending a morning program, Team Members will make sure he or she gets to lunch and the next session.

    Afternoon Pick Up
    Beginning at 3:40 P.M., parents should enter the West Gate and follow the signs for “Pick-Up” at the Lower School entrance. Please form one line. Before pulling forward, wait for the car in front of you to finish picking up campers. Team Members will be there to assist campers and help them into the cars.
