Eighth-Graders Earn Latin Honors

Earlier this week, Middle School Latin teacher Donna Butler received the long-anticipated results from the National Latin Exam. This year, almost 150,000 students in the U.S. and internationally took the exam. Among that self-selecting group of Latin scholars, 16 eighth-graders from Gill St. Bernard’s were recognized for their outstanding performance. "I am so proud of the wonderful job our students have done on the exam and in representing the academic ability at our school," said Butler.
Outstanding achievement certificates were awarded to Jack Alexy, Catherine D'Arcangelis, Laura Howard, Liam Jones, Matthew Rossiter, Natalie Sturman and Zachary Yekta.
Certificates of merit were awarded to Sean Carlucci, Michael Fritzlo, Avery Kirby, John Newman, Sophie Nourbakhsh, Isabel Orazietti, Charlotte Ruffine, Cody Torgovnik and Nicholas Towle.
Congratulations again to all of our eighth-grade Latin scholars. Excellens!
