Family Day, first started in 2004, has become an important annual event in the life of our school. Indeed, it now attracts upwards of 1,000 people to the campus. Today’s weather was perfect; cool to begin and warm in the afternoon.
The morning began with a quail release at Home Winds. Teri Cosentino and a group of our Middle School students have cared for the birds since they hatched and it was great to see them fly off…especially without any hawks or other predators in sight.
Middle School contests went off without a hitch, and their teams started us off with several wins. The dedication of the new Field House brought out the sun and a nice crowd for the ribbon cutting. The rest of the day was a tremendous success; varsity boys and girls soccer both won in shutouts and the various tents were busy all day.
It is easy for me to say, a good time was had by all…
