The School’s campus remains closed, even though there are some team practices in the gym/athletic center. The holidays are generally pretty quiet and most offices shut down.

I like to walk the campus with my dog at such times and it makes it far less onerous when I find myself closing the gates or locking doors. The place is pretty peaceful and the exercise is welcome. Tonight though, I was a little surprised to encounter some alumni who decided to come on campus and “reminisce.”

Certainly, we welcome our alumni back on campus on a regular basis; formally and informally. However, I have to note that it is not appropriate to come on campus after hours (at night!) when the campus is closed. No good can come of that and I hope all our alumni can understand the many obvious reasons for this.
Gill St. Bernard’s is a private, coeducational day school for students age three through grade 12, located in suburban New Jersey. Each of the three school divisions provides a vigorous, meaningful and age-appropriate curriculum, and all students benefit from the environmental learning opportunities that exist on our 208-acre campus.
