  • Spotlight: Lower and Middle School Parent Opportunities

Looking ahead to the next several weeks, there are several parent opportunities on the horizon in the Lower and Middle Schools:
    Tuesday, February 12
Lower and Middle School Curriculum Meeting. Parents are invited to join Mr. Armstrong in discussing various curriculum initiatives across the divisions. This meeting is not intended to be a deep dive into any one particular grade, but rather an overview of certain areas of interest.
    Friday, February 15 (New Date!)
Sixth-grade parents are invited to join their students in a S’mores and cookie exchange event at Hemm House at Home Winds Farm. This exciting family activity will take place from 2:00-3:00 p.m. next Friday, February 15. All families are invited to bring a tray of cookies and—of course—there will be S’mores for all. Dress appropriately for the weather and please park on the main campus in an unnumbered parking spot and then walk over to Home Winds Farm.
    Wednesday, February 13
Early Childhood (PS3, PK4, K) Parents are invited to participate in physical education (PE) classes throughout the morning. Have fun with your child and learn about our various PE initiatives in a fun, interactive environment. Wear your workout clothes. Class times in the Athletic Center with Mrs. Bednarsky and Mr. Leo are below. We hope you can join us, and don’t be late for class!

    • K: 9:30 a.m.
    • PS3: 10:00 a.m.
    • PK4: 10:30 a.m.

    Thursday, March 7
Visiting author Ibi Zoboi will speak to grades seven and eight students in the PACC from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Grades seven and eight parents are invited to this special event.
Also, please mark your calendars for Wednesday evening, March 6, which is Culture Night. This is an all-school event for families of all ages and stages. This will be our second annual Culture Night, and more information will be coming soon.
Hope to see you at one or more of these exciting opportunities!
