Gill St. Bernard’s provides afterschool and extended-day programs until 6:00 p.m. each night for children in grades pre-K through four.
Children may take part in a range of supervised indoor and outdoor activities or simply spend time reading or completing their homework with a faculty member in our quiet study area. At the end of each academic day, children have outdoor play time and a snack (provided by the school) before they settle in to their various afterschool activities. Supplemental fees apply and vary by program.
Available for a supplemental fee, our afterschool enrichment programs offer instruction in art, athletics, engineering, music, science, stagecraft, yoga and more.
Gill is proud to offer small group lessons in violin, viola and cello for any children (kindergarten or older) interested in learning to play a stringed instrument or continuing their instruction. In addition to learning how to play beautiful music, children who study an instrument are shown to have improved concentration, memory and problem solving skills. Classes meet once a week and students have the chance to perform in two recitals each year.
Gill St. Bernard’s is a private, coeducational day school for students age three through grade 12, located in suburban New Jersey. Each of the three school divisions provides a vigorous, meaningful and age-appropriate curriculum, and all students benefit from the environmental learning opportunities that exist on our 208-acre campus.
