Welcome, and thank you for your interest in our school’s championship-winning athletic program.
Athletics are an integral part of the educational experience at Gill St. Bernard's, reinforcing through competition, practice and team-play our core values of courage, integrity, respect, compassion and excellence.
The interscholastic athletics program at Gill is distinctive in its unique sense of balance. Teams are both highly-competitive and inclusive, and we work with our student athletes on scheduling so they never have to choose between success in sports and success in academics, arts or extracurricular interests.
Today, our varsity teams are achieving at an unprecedented level, and many of our traditionally smaller programs, including lacrosse and hockey, are growing more and more each year. In addition, we offer several intramural and junior-varsity opportunities to encourage all students to become involved in athletics. Our administrators and coaches are committed to helping students reach their full potential in athletics, at whatever level.
Our alumni frequently recall participation on an athletic team as among the most rewarding and memorable experiences of their time at Gill. More than 25 percent of our graduates, on average, continue their athletic careers in college, and several of our alumni have gone on to careers in athletics.
In keeping with the school's mission and core values, our scholar-athletes value winning in the spirit of healthy competition. Our athletes are ambassadors of the school, expected to conduct themselves with honor, integrity and sportsmanship at all times.
We look forward to learning more about you and another successful year ahead for all of our athletic programs. Go Knights!
