The Beaux' Stratagem

The GSB Players' production of "The Beaux' Stratagem" opened tonight in the theater at the Purnell School. Set in the mid-18th century, the show features beautiful period costumes from the show’s director, Performing Arts Chair Paul Canada. The set, also designed by Canada, was constructed by producer Todd Ross '94. Throughout the production, the cast does a superb job capturing the wit and poise in this adaptation of George Farquhar’s late-Restoration-era comedy. Photos from the performance are now online.
Very special thanks to our parent volunteers for their tremendous help with sewing and set construction. Special thanks also to the Purnell School for the use of its theater for the show. Progress continues on the construction of Gill’s new performing arts and community center, which is scheduled to open in late spring of 2018.
