Tickets Now On Sale for Upper School Spring Musical “Once Upon a Mattress”

Tickets are now on sale for the GSB Players’ spring 2015 musical, Once Upon a Mattress, with music and lyrics by Mary Rodgers and Marshall Barer and book by Jay Thompson, Dean Fuller and Marshall Barer.
Directed by Performing Arts Chair Paul H. Canada, Once Upon a Mattress will open on Thursday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m., and include five evening and matinee performances until March 8. Once Upon a Mattress is presented through a special arrangement with Rodgers & Hammerstein Theatricals, which represents the stage performance rights to over 100 musicals by more than 200 writers.
Based on the well-known fairy tale, “The Princess and The Pea,” Once Upon a Mattress incorporates several side-splitting shenanigans into the familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance. Its wave of wonderful songs and witty characters are bound to change audience members’ views of fairy tales forever.
