Tickets On Sale Now for GSB Players’ Spring Musical “Godspell”

Tickets for the GSB Players’ spring musical, Godspell, by Stephen Schwartz and John-Michael Tebelak are on sale now.

Directed by Performing Arts Chair Paul H. Canada—with musical direction from Middle and Upper School Choir Directors Amy and David Southerland and choreography by Upper School Performing Arts Instructor Margery SchiesswohlGodspell combines the biblical stories and parables of Jesus Christ, mostly found in the Gospel of Matthew, with a variety of modern-day music often set to lyrics from traditional hymns. Godspell, at its core, depicts the formation of a community as 12 individuals guided by Jesus gradually form a shared body of dignity, honesty, compassion and respect toward one another. As the community comes to understand each of these qualities, it is encouraged to share them with the greater world.

Godspell will open Thursday, February 27 at 7:30 p.m. and additional performance dates and times will include:

Friday, February 28 at 7:30 p.m.
