Members of the boys’ and girls’ swim teams were selected to the Skyland Conference All-Valley Division teams for their strong performances in the pool this winter.
Leading the way on the girls’ side were Becca Michaels ’20 and Maddie Soultanian ’22, with both swimmers earning first-team selections. Michaels was named first-team all-division in the 100 backstroke for her fourth-straight selection, while Soultanian was chosen to the first-team all-division in the 50 freestyle.
The girls’ team also made history as the relay squad of Michaels, Soultanian, Laura Howard ’21, and Olivia Soultanian ’22 were selected to first-team in the 200 freestyle relay; GSB’s first-ever relay to do so. The quartet was also named second-team all-division in the 400 freestyle relay.
Knights receiving Honorable Mention recognition were Scooter Hulsen ’22 from the girls’ team and Robert Brandl ’20 from the boys’ program.
