Golf Claims Second Straight Mountain Division Title
The golf team has claimed back-to-back Mountain Division titles after going a perfect 8-0 in divisional play this spring. The Knights finished ahead of rival local schools Rutgers Prep, Belvidere, South Hunterdon, and Bernards.
“It’s definitely both a nice accomplishment and a stepping stone towards ultimately winning counties or preps,” said head coach Mike Cascini. “It’s a victory that we can use as motivation to get better and hopefully help set other goals in the future.”
The Knights also had an incredible season outside of their division, as Gill finished third at the sectional championships and second at the Prep B championships. Individually, Moritz Weigold ‘19 and Sophie Chang ‘21 also qualified for the individual Tournament of Champions.
Gill St. Bernard’s is a private, coeducational day school for students age three through grade 12, located in suburban New Jersey. Each of the three school divisions provides a rigorous, meaningful and age-appropriate curriculum, and all students benefit from the environmental learning opportunities that exist on our 208-acre campus.
