On March 29, the GSB Players will open a three-performance run of the musical MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS. The show, based on the 1944 movie of the same title, charms audiences with the its portrayal of the seven members of the Smith family as they navigate romances, joys, comic mis-steps, and the occasional sorrow. Set in the in the summer of 1903, the story culminates with the opening of the 1904 World’s Fair. Among other songs, the show popularized “The Trolley Song,” “The Boy Next Door,” and “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.”
MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS is directed and designed by Performing Arts Chair Paul H. Canada, produced by Assistant Director / Producer Todd Ross '94, with lighting and sound by Technical Director Joe DeVico.
