Learning in Layers: The Lower School Sonoran Desert Biome

The Lower School opened its annual biome museum this week. This year, visitors were able to glimpse life in the Sonoran Desert through a series of interactive displays. Students, who have been working for the past several weeks to create the biome museum, welcomed the chance to serve as docents and lead parents and other guests through the exhibit. QR codes interspersed throughout the displays allow visitors to link to student-made videos on phones and tablets.
The project represents a collaboration among all of the Lower School grades and among the related arts classes: art, computers, library, music, science and Spanish.
If you have not had a chance to tour the biome museum, it will remain open through the end of the school year. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy these highlights from this year's exhibit
