"The students at GSB have been amazing. They continue to surprise me, humble me, and teach me. Their inquisitiveness and curiosity about the world gives me inspiration and confidence that teaching is the right career choice for me."

My favorite moments working at GSB have been in our Spring Unit Program.

I came to GSB from a school in Brooklyn, NY, which focused heavily on experiential learning. The GSB Spring Unit was the perfect venue to channel the hands-on and in-depth learning experiences I'd been exposed to and to expand upon those ideas.

I've taken students to Cape Town, South Africa, Iceland, and China as well as crafted experiences around the physics of roller coasters.

This year, I'm leading a trip to study environmental sustainability in the Netherlands. We're going to explore the question of how the Netherlands has succeeded in creating one of the most sustainable countries in the world. When we return, we'll create a children's book that explains what we've learned, and we'll share it with the Lower School.

CHRISTINE'S CORNER

My family is ethnically Chinese, but because of the Chinese Communist Revolution, my family ended up settling in Colombia. Conversations in my mom's house can sometimes be spoken in three languages.

It's important to remember that students are kids and that they make mistakes. When they are given second chances, it allows them to become better people.

If I could choose any two people to have dinner with, they would be Patrick Stewart (LOVE Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek) and Julie Andrews. The Sound of Music is the perfect solution for a bad day.
