Science Chef Junior

Early childhood students will have an opportunity to create, discover, and make in our Kitchen Discovery Lab. Biology is the science in which we investigate herbs, fruits and vegetables. We will have tastings of different fruits and vegetables as well as planting some greens that we will harvest before the end of the program. During our Science Chef program, science chef’s will also explore the science of cooking through a few different tasty recipes!
Please advise of any food allergies, intolerances, or cultural considerations at the time of registration. This program is nut free. Be advised that we may use coconut (a fruit, not a nut), including coconut, coconut oil, and/or coconut milk.
Coding
Grades: 1-4

Students will expand on their coding knowledge through weekly challenges using a variety of platforms and tools including: Wonder Workshop's Dash Robot, Bee-Bot robots, Scratch and more. This program gives students the opportunity to improve their problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Creative Builders

Calling all inventors, builders, and designers; come and build some awesome creations with us! We will create our own designs and make structures using building blocks, recyclable materials, and many other interesting items. Skills necessary: none! Skills gained: communication, problem-solving, reasoning, developing creativity, and teamwork.
Golf

TGA makes it convenient and fun for your child to learn and play golf right on their school campus! Our curriculums were specially designed by industry-leading golf professionals and education specialists to ensure that the lesson plans are age-appropriate and easy to understand and retain. Students will experience a mix of golf instruction, rules and etiquette lessons, educational components, character development lessons and physical activity as they advance through the five-level program. Our screened and certified instructors have a passion for working with children and are trained to help your student athlete develop a strong foundation of skills and knowledge as well as a passion for the sport.
TGA provides all equipment.
First-time students receive a TGA hat and a TGA Student Handbook. Students earn color coded TGA hat clips at every level.

Each week will begin with an art-related story. The art project will reinforce what concepts were introduced in the story. Did you know that art can build self-confidence? When children create with their hands, they learn so much more than just art. They work on their fine motor skills, organizational skills as well as developing their creative side. Come join us for a fun-filled art class where we will use a variety of mediums.
Pottery

Join us as we explore the joy of building art objects out of clay and glaze. Students will be able to build sculptures, wall pieces and functional items through pinching, coiling and slab building. Each project will have a new theme to pull inspiration from such as favorite animals, forest creatures and movie characters.

LEGO bricks turn numbers, words, and ideas into real models that can be touched, described, and innovated upon. And by making the subjects tangible, they foster collaboration and encourage self-guided learning by creating enthusiasm and giving students the critical 21st-century skills they need.
Chess

Chess helps develop critical thinking skills, planning ahead, and thinking before acting. By learning chess, children learn to see patterns, solve problems and become more deliberate. In chess, winning and losing allows children to understand how to handle healthy competition. This is open to all levels. All students will be evaluated in their first class. Then they will learn the basic chess principles, like how to move the pieces, check & checkmate, stalemate, castling promotion and many more. Every class will include a lesson part and supervised play. International Master Farai Mandizha is an internationally renowned chess player, coach and a 4 time Chess Olympian.

Jumping Beans

Hop, Run and Skip to Jumping Beans! S-T-R-E-T-C-H your muscles and get your wiggles out all while learning about a new sport each class. Jumping Beans is great for developing gross motor and fine motor skills in a structured format that builds coordination, balance, and confidence.
