Parent Talk

Conversations about Race and Identity: Connecting the Classroom to Home
February 18, 2021
9:00 a.m. & 6:30 p.m.

In this family education session, Monique Vogelsang, an educator from Pollyanna, Inc., will highlight key themes, objectives, and resources from Pollyanna’s Racial Literacy Program. This program introduction and overview will help parents and guardians bridge conversations of race from school to home and vice versa. We will also review topics of discussion parents and guardians may have with their children to further engage in conversations about race and identity.

Both the morning and evening sessions will cover the same topic matter – attendees need only register for one session.

Meetings will be held virtually on Zoom, and registrants will receive the virtual link once their registration is confirmed.
