Hi-Hills Day Camp
Over 50 years ago, Hi Hills was founded by Marv and Bunny Goldberg. The first location of Hi Hills Day Camp, in usage until 1983, was in Watchung. It was this year that the wonderful relationship with Gill St. Bernard's School began. The Goldbergs rented Gill's facilities on the Bernardsville campus on Clairmont Road until 1995 when they made the final move to our lovely Gladstone campus.
Earlier activities included making jam from berries that were collected on hikes and baking bread. Other camp traditions still live on such as our overnight campout for our older campers, swim lessons, carnival, pottery, and we still end each week with council ring.
In 2013, GSB's Summer Programs and Hi Hills Traditional Day Camp merged to all fall under one Hi Hills umbrella. The merger gave campers the option of adding enrichment, athletic and academic programs into their traditional day camp experience. We continue to add more academic offerings and more options to our already very flexible programming!
