Admission Procedures
Admission to Gill St. Bernard's School is granted on the basis of the following:
1. A completed application form with $75 application fee.
2. A parent/guardian visit to the campus, including a tour and interview with an Admission associate.
3. A student day visit to our classrooms.
4. An official school transcript of grades, including standardized test scores, mailed directly from the previous school to Gill St. Bernard's. Please use the request form obtained through our Admission Office.
5. Recommendations from current teachers, mailed directly from the school to Gill St. Bernard’s.
6. For applicants to grades 5 - 12, a writing sample (an essay done at home on an assigned topic) and a student questionnaire.
7. Admission testing: Applicants for Grades Pre-K – 5 are evaluated during their school day visit. Applicants for Grades 6 – 12 take the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test). The school code is 3406. Please contact SSAT online at http://www.ssat.org/ for testing dates, registration, and locations. GSB will also accept the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam). The school code is 310100. Please contact ISEE online at http://www.erbtest.org/ for testing dates, registration, and locations.
