Lower School closing exercises

Lower School closing exercises were different this year with more emphasis on student involvement, expecially among the fourth graders to recognize their transition to Middle School.  The fourth graders performed a song about their years in the Lower School that they wrote with Ken Gallipeau, a professional song writer, several students performed musical selections, and the black belt recorder players played Beethoven's Ode to Joy.  Members of the younger classes contributed reminiscences of their favorite lessons during the year.  As has been done for the past 24 years, the Amol Ajinkya Citizenship Award was given to the fourth grade student who most exemplified caring, thoughtfulness, sensitivity and generosity of spirit.
