Students
GSB students come to the school from 11 counties throughout central New Jersey and therefore bring to the school a wide variety of talent, background and experience. In general, They are academically strong, independent thinkers who are curious about their world and thrive in an environment where they are actively engaged in the learning process. They fully support the school’s motto, “The World is Our Classroom” and appreciate the opportunities offered to them to acquire knowledge through direct experience and primary sources.
In all areas of GSB there exists a strong sense of community. Whether in the classroom, on the playing field, on the stage or in the broader community, students share genuine respect and concern for one another.
One of the trademarks of our students is their involvement in serving their communities and becoming responsible citizens of the world. A Green Task Force and a multitude of community service programs provide ways for students of all ages to become actively involved with their improving their communities.
The approximately 670 students enjoy the advantages of coeducation, and interacting meaningfully both inside and outside the classroom with their peers and our dynamic faculty.
