Introduction to Faculty
GSB faculty members are passionate teachers and learners who know that the key to student learning is through engagement, not only with ideas but with involvement in a hands-on, active process of learning. Gill St. Bernard's School teachers endeavor to create an environment of trust in the classroom, understanding that students are successful when they know that a teacher cares about them as individuals, not merely as students who are assigned to their class rosters. Mutual respect is a defining quality of the relationships between teachers and young people at GSB.
Above all, our teachers are dedicated professionals who believe in collegiality, cooperation, and the highest ideals of a learning community. While most of our teachers hold advanced degrees, all teachers participate in professional development workshops and seminars which advance their knowledge of subject matter and the developmental needs of young people.
