The Upper School English Department seeks a teacher to convene classes in American, British and World Literatures beginning in the 2010-2011 school year. Ability to work with classic works from the canon as well as contemporary selections is necessary. All Upper School English classes emphasize comprehension of and appreciation for literature and the process approach to writing. Other essential responsibilities include advising students and serving on committees that address academic coordination and various school activities in addition to participating with the English faculty in selecting course outlines and materials. The English Department offers seminar-style classes facilitated by engaging and inspiring teachers.
